What I think you should do

If you've read the rest of this site, it should be clear that the Gang of Three is lying to you. If you're a member of the Texas VHF-FM Society, here's what I think you should do:

  1. Attend the summer meeting of the Society at the Austin Summerfest convention, on Saturday, 6 August 2005.
  2. Vote against the bylaws amendment for vote-by-mail when it comes up for the vote that counts. It's unwieldy, expensive, and will hand control of the Society to whoever wants to spend the most on campaigning, regardless of their actual interests.
  3. Vote for candidates other than the slate supported by the Gang of Three. Do you really want to elect someone who lies to you, over and over, to run the Society? I sure don't.

Those are the things that really count. Other things that would help would be to contact the Gang of Three - their addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses are on the Society's Board of Directors page, and Hudgins told me in email he's always ready to hear members' concerns - and let them know you don't appreciate being lied to; and if you're really feeling generous, send the Society a donation to help cover the legal expenses in fighting this incredible silliness.
